Earplugs
If I stuff earplugs too far in they hurt and at night they squish and press against my ear and the pillow but they allow me to stay in the same bed with my husband.

Supplements
I could have gone on several cruise ship vacations for the same price I paid for my supplements but they keep me moving.

Clean Clothes
There is always a pile of laundry staring at me from the corner of the living room but usually no one in my family stinks.

Waking up my Youngest
He is sleeping so soundly, so soft and warm and cuddly, but after he wakes up he says cool stuff like: “Mom, guess what? I just peed, burped, and sneezed all at the same time!”

Lab Tests
They induce panic attacks and sleepless nights, and often lead to more supplements, but they provide vital information.

My Dog (Spastic Colon)
I often wake up to surprises she has left me in all forms but I laugh when she eats my underwear and wags her tail so super fast her little butt shakes.

Documentaries
They make me over think and conjure up dread but knowledge is power.

Washington State
Yes, it rains and rains, and there are tons of spiders, but the greenery and scenery are pure heaven.

My China Doll
I have had her since I was twelve and I think she is haunted with my spirit, so I am afraid to move her, get rid of her, or hide her in a dark closet, but she makes for interesting conversation.

Let me see, things I sometimes love: 1) weeds to be pulled in the garden (they make me feel useful on days that I otherwise don’t), 2) definitely anything chocolate (dark, milk, white, doesn’t matter), 3) having my 20-year-old daughter home from college call me “Daddy” (it takes me back in time), 4) northwestern Washington (where I was born and have fond early life memories), and 5) this new adventure of blogging (even though I still don’t quite know what I’m doing)! That’s my short list. With more time, I’m sure I would come up with more. I too like ear plugs, clean clothes, and come to think of it, the smell of clean sheets on the bed.
Oh, great list! Weeds—I do like that feeling of plucking them out, how the dirt clings to the roots. Chocolate! “Daddy”—love that. WA 🙂

Even the knocked over garbage looks “clean”, ya know?! Your son’s little head peeping out is adorable!! What’s more to say about the chocolate – well, personally I would put THAT on my ALWAYS LOVE list! Creepy doll – would totally freak me out and reminds me of the movie Magic with Anthony Hopkins (even though it is not a ventriloquist dummy). Oh, yes, and I’m glad the laundry is clean and your family is not ‘stinky’ – lol! 😉
It was our recycle garbage, luckily. I tell you…you’ve got that acute attention to details. You could be a lady detective. I love, love, love chocolate, but don’t like what it does to my mind and body — hyper thoughts, hyper movements, and itchy skin. 😦 Such is the price I pay. However, if I want to get a good house cleaning in, I do indulge on the chocolate. Creepy doll!!! Thanks for the comment. I’m glad we’re not stinky, too. Are you? 😉 lol

Sam, with your spastic colon photo, I laughed because we just adopted an 18 mos. old chocolate lab (now 19 mos old). He’s still a puppy and loves plastic. Oh, how naive we were after having our Lucky Girl so long and she was almost 11. Perfect, you know? Then we bring home a dog who is part Grizzly, Croc and horse! Anyway, in addition to my new lovable puppy, my list would also include any kind of chocolate, pulling weeds are in progress, dinner when the whole family is together, clean clothes are also good, time in the mountains, a good dog walk, camping and vanilla lattes! 🙂 this was really a fun post, thanks so much! xo

China Doll! Aaaaaaaahhhhh!! Me no likey! I am not too frightened of the evil forces that may play around different unattainable quantum’s in our universe, BUT I am afraid of China dolls! And any sort of creepy-glassed-eyed-freaky-haired-stoic-(or smiling)non-moving doll that stares at me no matter where I am at in the room! I know they plot and plan evil deeds waiting to take over the world! I am not making it up! Look!
