Day 102: Woven

Artist Unknown

Woven

Come chase away my dreams

Butterflies to net

Life through filtered screams

Personified as rest

Dancing as a clown

When clearly feet are broke

Dancing without frown

When emptiness evokes

Thoughts of when and where

Weep buried in lost cave

Marked with bleeding tears

The gold dust left to save

Longings tucked in pockets

Lightning struck sun down

Shook the empty sockets

Where eyes could once be found

Breathing will not cease

When desire rises still

Toย nest between the trees

To taste the daffodil

Nectar dripping tongue

Twin flame arouses life

And butterfly is strung

As sprinkled wedding rice

Colors boldly clear

Set free fromย woven net

Of wingless quiet years

Which soul herself did set

Been playing this song all week

“Bring me to your threshold

And lead me down inside

So I may breathe your memories

And know where truth resides.” ~ Sam

  1. Love the pic and the poem, Sam. Did you know that there is an almost full page skip between the pic and the poem. I almost missed the poem, but knew you would have more on a post.

  2. Sam…I don’t know why I alaways end up focusing on one detail, but the last 4 lines below mr garfunkel realy struck me. Breathing memories…letting them flow from person to person…so giving and sharing really

  3. lovely poem…wish i can write like you do…and all the writers in our group…profound thoughts evolve from your poem which keep my mind in perspective, Sam ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ my mind has been in a “chaotic state” the past 24 hours…meltdown mode maybe???? i soooo love that art garfunkel song too…again, thanks for sharing ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ wishing you and your family the best on your trip…{{{{hugs}}}} (really need a hug myself ๐Ÿ˜ฆ ๐Ÿ˜ฆ )

  4. Huge {{{{Hug}}}}. I think a lot of people were in meltdown mode today. You were not alone. Something in the air! Hope you are feeling back to your shiny happy self. Melt down mode is difficult. Hang in there! ๐Ÿ™‚ Sam

  5. I wanted to come back and read this again then comment. It makes me awestruck when I read these words. I have no comment, but “Beauty and tears mingled with sadness and pure bliss.”
